Eli & Fur with Shadow Child ‘Seeing Is Believing’

Rising London production duo Eli & Fur join forces with UK producer and Rinse FM DJ, Shadow Child, to release their astonishing single ‘Seeing Is Believing’ on Defected together with brand new remixes from Davidian and Manik.

The original mix for ‘Seeing Is Believing’ opens with an abyssal synth and vocal void, which explodes into a bass bobbing dance floor frenzy. Taking full advantage of Eli & Fur’s seductive vocals, Davidian reinterprets the track adding his own arsenal of rolling bass punches, hi hats and percussive clicks. Things then get very interesting with the addition of skipping synth chords and dispersing array of arpeggios. Adding a melancholic tone with pitched down vocals sections, Manik pushes the limits of the original with his mix of hard-hitting bass and enchanting, almost tropical percussive melodies.

‘Seeing Is Believing’ will be out 11th August 2014 on Defected Records.

Henry Krinkle – Stay (Justin Martin Remix)

Two years ago, LA based producer, Henry Krinkle brought us a sensational single, Stay, featuring great percussion beats and a pretty good twist on Alicia Keys’s vocals from “Unthinkable.” And now, one of TheBasement favorite artists, Justin Martin, has given a magic touch and interpretation of “Stay”. Keeping the melodic essence of those sweet vocals and the simplicity in structure, Justin softened the percussion sounds and added some bass grooves, just how we like.
Now this track it is finally revealed to public. Press play below for some smooth summery beats!

NoNoNo – Pumpin’ Blood (Franne Edit) * Free Download

Ever heard of «Franne»? Probably not but the 18-year old musician and producer delivered one of the deepest and darkest remixes of NoNoNo’s 2013 hit «Pumpin’ Blood» that went straight up to #1 on the Hypem charts last month. The young German from Dresden manages to change the mood of the uplifting original and to create something entirely new. A chilled chord progression on the piano, Stina Wäppling’s wonderful voice and a powerful percussion are the main elements of this remix that will leave you with that sad but kind of happy feeling at the end…

Such a beautiful surprise from this talented producer. We bet we are gonna hear from him a lot from now!
