‘I got a bunch of old hardware which is a pain in the ass to use but gives you this golden era hip hop / house flavour of the late 90’s and early 00’s’ – Etur Usheo
Usheo has a disco-eque, dusty house, Chicago/Detroit house vibe as well as some more funky and ‘weird’ acidic sounds. With recent interests in funk, hip-hop and RnB, expect to see some of Etur’s future productions pointing in this direction.
Starting with the organic vibes of Afro Latin House, he found his musical home in the spheres of Disco and Classic Deep House.
DJing wise, Etur keeps it old school, with banging drums, catchy samples and classic sounding gear, bringing smooth, organic and fresh house vibes to the listeners ear, as well as raw and energetic house stompers to the club.
His release on House Cookin’ Records gained huge support from Beatport, being put on the featured section of their website which was deservedly placed.
Have a listen to some of his biggest bangers, his sound is so relatable yet sounds so unique in every individual song, you feel like he’s taking you on a journey in each and every one.
Have a listen to this mix also to get a taste of him:
Tune in this weekend for Etur’s three song release on our theBasementDiscos label alongside a banging remix from Max Telaer. It’s going to be big and this is just the start of our new generation of releases with up-and-coming DJ’s with limitless talent.
