Their name,\u00a0Palavas, is a reference to Palavas-les-Flots (FR), a vacation town near their home that in the 1980\u2019s owned the prestigious title of \u00abQueen of Mediterranean Beaches.\u201d In their music, Palavas aims to recapture this golden era, with sun drenched italo disco elements, and summery beats.<\/p>\n<p>The duo has already been busy making a mark on the scene.\u00a0Their first eps were released on\u00a0Intercept Records\u00a0in addition to their own label,\u00a0AZZUR, and have\u00a0garnered DJ support by acts such as\u00a0Hot Toddy, Gilles Peterson, Folamour, Ame, Laurent Garnier, Marcus Worgull, Grazzz, Crackazat\u00a0and more.\u00a0They\u2019ve also been busy DJing, with highlight performances at the\u00a0I Love Techno\u00a0and Big Bang music festivals in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted something crazy that Djs could play peak time. We have focused on the breakdown to make it epic.\u00a0It is clear that the 80&#8217;s sound has once again influenced us on this one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Palavas\u2019 latest singles \u201cGiorgio Baroudeur\u201d and \u201cAston Martine\u201d are\u00a0 out now on Brooklyn\u2019s toucan sounds record label, and they sound amazing.
