Is In My Cup», «Tech.Love» y «No.Vale.Na».

Etur Usheo, the man behind the forthcoming release on theBasementDiscos

Etur Usheo, a young and budding Dj and Producer hailing from south Germany has a wide range of genres in his repertoire when it comes to making and mixing music. From an early age, Etur was partying and listening to electronic music when he realised that instead of just listening to it, he could play around with decks and actually produce it. And this young Deutsch is nothing but incredible.

‘I got a bunch of old hardware which is a pain in the ass to use but gives you this golden era hip hop / house flavour of the late 90’s and early 00’s’ – Etur Usheo

Usheo has a disco-eque, dusty house, Chicago/Detroit house vibe as well as some more funky and ‘weird’ acidic sounds. With recent interests in funk, hip-hop and RnB, expect to see some of Etur’s future productions pointing in this direction.

Starting with the organic vibes of Afro Latin House, he found his musical home in the spheres of Disco and Classic Deep House.

DJing wise, Etur keeps it old school, with banging drums, catchy samples and classic sounding gear, bringing smooth, organic and fresh house vibes to the listeners ear, as well as raw and energetic house stompers to the club.

His release on House Cookin’ Records gained huge support from Beatport, being put on the featured section of their website which was deservedly placed.

Have a listen to some of his biggest bangers, his sound is so relatable yet sounds so unique in every individual song, you feel like he’s taking you on a journey in each and every one.

Have a listen to this mix also to get a taste of him:

Tune in this weekend for Etur’s three song release on our theBasementDiscos label alongside a banging remix from Max Telaer. It’s going to be big and this is just the start of our new generation of releases with up-and-coming DJ’s with limitless talent.

Joy Orbison, the UK legend visiting us at Dias de Campo

Hailing from London – Peter O’Grady – better known by Joy Orbison or Joy O is one of the front-runners of english electronic music, and there’s reason for that. Joy released his debut EP «Hyph Mngo» in 2009 via Hotflush Recordings, achieving millions of listens over the years.

With acknowledgement and praise from some of the biggest names in the industry, Joy’s «Hyph Mngo» was labelled the most ‘forward-thinking dubstep track of 2009 and received global floor-play for the following years.

Jon K & Joy Orbison at Dekmantel

Voted #1 Fact Magazine’s top 100 tracks of 2009, Joy’s «Hyph Mngo» allowed him to make a huge splash in what was already a very competitive industry. Club bookings then started to pile in, and Joy’s name was already bigger than names that had been around for many years before him.

O’Grady credits his Drum ‘n’ Base legend uncle Ray Keith for introducing him to Jungle and UK-Garage music at a young age. He grew up in South London listening to Garage icons like Todd Edwards, Groove Chronicles and Zed Bias which played a massive part in influencing the music that he then went on to produce and play at gigs.

Take a listen to Joy’s Dekmantel podcast here:

Starting primarily with the production side of music, Joy’s interest in dance music would be complimented by his uncle Ray gifting him albums and records that he was making at the time. Between 18-21, production was more of a hobby but he soon came to realise that this was what he loved, not to mention that he could make a prosperous career from it.

There is no doubt in our minds that Joy is going to bring a whole other dimension to this festival, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him with us. The hype that surrounds this young Londoner is no false pretence, so believe it when we say that this man will be incredible playing in the idyllic mountains of Montanejos.

Accompanying the likes of Jon K (with whom he will be playing B2B), Dan shake, Axel Boman, Edu Imbernon, Pépe and Hamish Cole, the event’s roster is really starting to shape up as the our best edition for Dias de Campo.

BOOGIE CARMEN

The final line up for Sun and Snow Festival 2019 is here

Missed Sun and Snow Festival 2018? You need look no further, friends. After the immense showcase of the 2018 addition, the least our friends from Sierra Nevada could do is bring it back to the slopes for another wonderful addition, and we couldn’t be happier.

With six months of hard work going into the festival, the festival looks to set the bar high to go above and beyond what was experienced with their previous festival in the mountains of Sierra Nevada.

An amalgamation of culture, nature, snow sports and ultimately music are but some of the foundations on what the festival holds dear to itself, and will continue to be so for as long as this festival continues to bring unforgettable experiences for those that attend it.

Snow sports play a fundamental part in the lives of all, and with Sun and Snow Festival, the opportunity to hit the slopes with serene surroundings is forever present.

With Dj’s playing both during the day and at night, there’s never a time when you won’t have the freshest house/techno music filling your ears. Accompanying theBasement crew are some of our favourite names from the game; DVS1, Adam Port, DJ Tennis and not to mention, Axel Boman: the Swedish Powerhouse from Studio Barnhus who will be playing at Dias de Campo mid-may in the beautiful springs of Montanejos.

Get your tickets here and see you on the slopes!

Below are the 5 different options Sun and Snow Festival are offering regarding accommodation and Ski passes.

Axel Boman, the Super-Swede playing at Dias de Campo 2019

Born in Stockholm, Axel had kickstarted his career in 2010 with his ‘Holy Love EP’ which was released on DJ Koze’s then-new Pampa Records. On that EP stood «Purple Drank» which was the breakout anthem of the three, taking what seemed a nascent career to the next gear, creating not only a name but a reputation for himself.

Having only been playing for a small number of years, little did anyone doubt that this young Swedish prodigy had ubiquitous talent kept up in his locker. The only thing was to continue doing what he was doing, and that he did.

Boman continued to make a splash in not only the Swedish clubbing scene but also in that of Europe making his experimental records on his new three-way label/collective ‘Studio Barnhaus’ – co-owned with fellow Swedes Petter Nordkvist and Kornél Kovács where they would bounce ideas off each other in their man-cave-basement in Stockholm.

With an infectious sense of humour that so many lacks in the music industry, one thing is certain: Axel Boman is the perfect example of a DJ that can keep it real despite being such a highly-revered DJ.

What some would perceive an esoteric personality, one only needs but a few scrolls on his Instagram feed to know that this guy doesn’t take himself too seriously, and is absolutely loving what he is doing: Playing the music he loves to the people, and this is something that he preaches. He shall not fall into the bracket where he plays something that he thinks people will like, but what he wants. And we have the utmost respect for this.

Over the last few years, it seems that Axel has had very few weekends where he hasn’t played two gigs, and despite his productions, collaboration, heavy touring schedule and the co-running of his Studio Barnhaus label, we have managed to catch and sweep him up to play at Dias de Campo x theBasement 2019, for which excitement we can’t contain.

You can picture it perfectly: The sun falling behind the beautiful hanging-gardens of Montanejos accompanied with the woozy deep house charm of Axel’s records. And this is just one of our headlining acts for Dias de Campo.

Below is his 2010 release Purple Drank on his first EP «Holy Love:

Diverse and unique are certainly words to describe this young Swedish prospect. The bittersweet melancholic vibe that this song brings can make one so pensive and reflective, however, be so easy on the ears.

Give a listen to the song below:

Come see Axel and the rest of our roster at Dias de Campo x theBasement 2019 here

It goes with out saying, street parties are one of the many integral parts of what Las Fallas has that makes it what it is.
