Building both a name and a reputation for himself in the friendly but quaint city that is Stockholm, 2010 saw a massive breakthrough for Axel, as his epic club anthem ‘Purple Drank’ saw unprecedented love from all its listeners after being released on DJ Koze’s label, Pampa Records.

theBasement returns to the idyllic hanging-gardens of Montanejos, which offers not only a perfect sun-lounging experience, where you can kick back and soak up the sun, but also one where you can retire from those hot temperatures expected in May and cool-off in its blissful instagrammable springs.

Although these unforgettable experiences are supported by the breathtaking surroundings, the music must not be forgotten. With the likes of Young Marco, Bradley Zero,  Interstellar Funk, Jimmy Rouge, Chrissy, Sammy Dee, Tiago and MLiR featuring in the previous two editions of Dias de Campo, it was only expected that we continue to raise the bar with respect to the quality of music that we have playing at this festival.

We continue our love-affair with House music coming from the other side of the English Channel, as British-born Joy Orbison (top right) packs his bags ready to headline Dias de Campo 2019 and being one of the London post-dubstep scene’s most celebrated figures, we expect this to set the pace for the rest of the festival.

Also from the United Kingdom, Manchester specifically, coming to headline the much-anticipated event is Jon K (top left) (Dekmantel/NTS) and Hamish Cole (bottom right)(Dimensions Festival/Butter-Side Up) from Leeds.

To put the icing on the cake, Pépe (bottom left) – DJ Mag’s-voted «Spanish Producer of the Year» – will also be joining us in the Valencian mountains of Montanejos, as he joins the rest of theBasement resident crew (Boranimals, Electrronicall, AAPAES, Charlie Whatever, Toni Copas) to take us on a journey through the history of dance music, from its origins, to its present.

theJueves: Your Monthly Fix of House in Oven Club x theBasement

On the 21st of this month, theBasement showcases for the first time its recurring monthly event theJueves in partnership with Oven Club. The prototypical amalgamation of the two front-runners in the Valencian House music movement can only be seen as a step in the right direction for both parties, as they two look towards creating nothing but the most unique experience for their party-goers.

The grand opening will of course encompass house and strictly house, bringing together both Erasmus and regular students looking to celebrate the start of the weekend and enjoy the fruits that theBasement has to offer in conjunction with Oven Club.

As this is our embryonic event with Oven Club, you can expect that we are going to exhibit the raw potential of this event, and being the first of many, we do not want to disappoint. And that we shan’t.

Start early, finish late, and dance yourselves silly in the ballroom with a cold beverage in the prominent establishment that we know is Oven Club. Get yourself on the guest list in this link.

See you there.

“Who is it? Plumber? I didn’t call a plumber…”
